Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team at our office in Zug, Switzerland. The successful candidate will at first work on the back-end, ensuring that the database architecture and implementation scales to billions of records. In the longer term, he/she will contribute to team’s development of a wider variety of platform features and components.
This position requires a developer with a strong background in building scalable databases (we use Postgresql) and a good working knowledge of most of the following languages: Go, Python, JavaScript (TypeScript) and C++.
Key Responsibilities
- Database architecture and development: ensure scalability of our database, which manages file transfers, file structure and file metadata. We currently use Postgresql.
- Back-end development: Implementation of the client and server back-end components, in a modern virtualised environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our two full-stack developers, algorithms engineer, product manager, UX designer and our CTO to ensure that advanced product features are delivered to customers with a high level of quality, as well as in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with databases (SQL), and languages such as Go, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript and C++.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with data management for AI applications is a plus.
- Communication: Fluent in English with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Work Permit: Must have a valid Swiss B or C work permit or Swiss/EU passport.
