Jetraw Platform changelog

Latest new features and improvements
v. 1.1.0
Nov 15, 2024

Quick redownload for existing users

If you already have your Jetraw license and server set up, you can redownload any number of copies of Jetraw from our website and use the app upon giving a consent to the License Agreement inside the app on first launch.

Improved folder size calculation

Jetraw would now automatically recalculate and display correct folder sizes in your Files list without any triggers on your side.

Removing connected destinations

In the list of Destinations (Settings → Destinations), users can independently remove any previously added destinations.

Access app info and license agreement in Settings

To access your app/user info and legal documents visit General tab in your app Settings.

Bugfixes in v.1.1.0

You can now create a new folder from your macOS Finder or Windows File Explorer dialogue:

  • When you are assigning a new Jetraw-compressible folder.
  • When you are downloading files from Jetraw.

v. 1.0.0
Oct 4, 2024

Improved operation cards in Feed

Operation cards in Feed improved to include:

  • Users can now Run/Pause operations directly from the Feed without expanding the full Queue view.
  • Missing progress informer fixed.
  • User initials are now shown instead of the full name for all operations initiated by someone else in your organization. Hover your mouse to see the full name of your peer.
  • Folder name is now displayed on the card to help you differentiate operations and allow easy access to files in this operation.
  • Added access to all operation actions in the (...) icon.

Adding watched Jetraw-compressible folders

To automatically apply Jetraw compression to supported image files, users can now assign watched folders from the Settings menu.

To add one, browse for a folder to select it, then select the camera model and camera mode you are using for files incoming to this folder.

Redesigned tabs in Feed

Operations Feed tabs are now rearranged to filter operations in 3 groups:

  • My: only shows all operations initiated by you in any status.
  • To Do: only shows operations that you initiated, but they require your attention: not yet started, paused, or failed to perform.
  • All: all operations from all users in your organization.

Bugfixes in v.1.0.0

  • Shareable links to files not working on Windows fixed.
  • Newly uploaded data is now visible instantly in Files without the need to refresh the tab.
  • Finished operations now remain visible in Feed instead of disappearing, so users wouldn't lose context.
  • When files are in progress of uploading, users can no longer access operation actions that are not available for such operation.
  • Deleted folders are now instantly hidden from a folder view.
v. 0.12.0
Aug 2, 2024

Local storage support

Connect a NAS, a USB-stick, or any number of other type of local storages to use it with the unified Jetraw file system. Go to Account Settings → Destinations to check the list of your available destinations and connect new ones.

Bugfixes in v.0.12.0

  • File list is now sorted alphabetically (A→Z) by default.
  • Fixed inability to drop files into an empty folder.
  • Root folder now renamed to Home.
  • Files option sheet is now available in Files list with:
    • right-mouse click anywhere outside the file lines,
    • click in the (...) icon in the File List Toolbar.

Known issues in v.0.12.0

  • Dashboard doesn't automatically display all time data.
  • Massive deleted folders still appear in File list for some time after deletion.
  • Jetraw files sharing links not working in Windows version.
  • Errors may arise in the transfer manager when the connection to the NAS fails several times due to low internet connection.
  • When adding files to a folder, the parent folders of the given directory disappear unless a refresh is performed.
  • Uploading data to S3 and NAS using Jetraw compression leads to metadata errors.
v. 0.11.0

Use multiple file list tabs to better navigate between folders + toolbar update

You can now open multiple tabs in the File list to quickly navigate between different data.

Some features:

  • When all tabs closed it will divert to Home tab with your root folder.
  • Access folder path by clicking on the folder icon in the tab.
  • A new tab will open your root folder by default.
  • Show/hide Inspector panel and access more actions for the currently viewed folder by clicking the icons in the toolbar.

Clickable Feed operations cards, simpler card naming

You can now click on an operation card in the Feed panel to access the Queue with information about this operation. The naming on cards was improved to better show the current status of the operation in question, e.g. "To download", "Downloading", "Downloaded".

Permanent file deletion

Jetraw now automatically searches once a day for files you deleted that had only one copy in your destinations, and offer you to purge them completely to save space for you.

Right-click option sheet in Files list

Adds access to option sheet to download, copy, rename, share a link etc to any file and folder with a right-click.

Inline file renaming

File renaming now works inline in the list of files and folders instead of an overlay so you wouldn't lose context.

v. 0.10.0
May 29, 2024

Preparation folders for files to be compressed

Users can now configure their preparation folders manually by editing the config.json.

When importing files from such folders, user would see a dialog in the operations Feed asking to confirm the camera model of imported images and select destinations to put the files to.

Login with Auth0

Jetraw now features Auth0 interface so users could log in to their orgs to start using the app straight away instead of manually configuring it in a json.

Beta testers will now have assigned AWS credentials and a license that will also be automatically configured by the app. The user will be asked for confirmation before doing any change in their local machine (i.e. before creating or editing any file from their computer).

Performance of Queue table

Operations queue performance is now optimized for large scale orgs with hundreds of users with more efficient monitoring of the queue progress and faster retrieving.

Minor changes in v. 0.10.0

  • App renamed to Jetraw.
  • Jetraw can now run on MacOS Intel chip.‍
  • Operations feed tabs are renamed to All, Review and Shared.
  • Long filenames in File list are not truncated to preserve table structure.

v. 0.9.0
Apr 26, 2024

New UI design with operation feed

This brings the biggest update to Jetraw GUI to date. Users can now quickly check the Feed of operations in the right part of the main interface with previews of what's going on in the system: files being uploaded, downloaded and subject to deletion. To access the full Queue, press the Expand button in the top right corner of the feed area.

Jetraw now also features permanent benefit informers in the Feed and you can use it to access the full Dashboard.

Operation owner now displayed in the Queue

Users can now differentiate operations in the queue by their initiators. Open the queue to locate avatars in the "Added" column.

Improvements and bugfixes in v. 0.9.0

  • Simultaneous download of multiple folders is now available.
  • Detection of unexpected file format improved in Jetraw compression library.

v. 0.8.0
Mar 28, 2024

Enhanced queue management

We've redesigned the queue interface to provide a unified view of all transactions—whether they're in progress, paused, or completed. This update also introduces a filtering system, allowing for a more streamlined and efficient management of your queue.

First steps towards user management

User management work has happened behind the hood. In the next sprint, you'll notice a new icon in the app's top-right corner displaying your initials. These initials will also be integrated into the queue, indicating transaction ownership, making it easier to track your activities.

Comprehensive bug fixes in 0.8.0

  • Refreshing the file system window no longer truncates the path, ensuring full visibility and easier navigation.
  • Aborting queues is now quicker for improved workflow efficiency.
  • We've eliminated the delay in displaying contents when opening folders with a large number of files, enhancing the user experience.
v. 0.7.0
Feb 16, 2024

Windows supported

Jetraw is now compatible with Windows 11, featuring an installer, a custom Windows navigation bar, and a dropdown menu to access full OS navigation.

Operations queue: Start, Pause and Retry

The operations list has been redesigned to place operation action buttons on the left for quicker visual recognition. Users now have the ability to pause operations, resume them, and retry any failed operations.

Instead of showing file count progress, operation progress is now indicated by a segmented circular progress informer that measures the amount of processed data.

Sharable links to folders

Files list now feature sharable path links so you could quickly share a folder to your teammate.  To retrieve a sharable link, right click on a folder and select “Copy link”. The sharable link will take your teammate to the destination folder opened in the app, providing they are connected to VPN and have the latest version of Jetraw installed.

Background update checks for UI and changelog

The app automatically checks for the latest updates in the background. Once an update is downloaded and ready, it will prompt you to install it. After the update, Jetraw presents a changelog for the current version, outlining new features and bug fixes.

Improvements and bugfixes in v. 0.7.0

  • You can now find the current version number of Jetraw at the bottom status bar of the app. You also have the ability to copy the version number to your clipboard by clicking on it.
  • Jetraw now ensures a seamless connection between the server and the client. This guarantees that updates are rolled out without disrupting the user experience.
  • Dashboard: “View by” is now limited to more suitable contextual ranges for each custom period.
  • Decimals added to compression ratio values in UI.
  • Uploading big nested folders in Windows fixed.
  • “Archive” option in the file option sheet has now correct icon and relabeled to “Delete”.
v. 0.5.9
Jan 2, 2024

Example of past update

You can now create standard templates for projects. You'll be able to define basic details such as the project name, description, lead, project members, project status, and associated roadmaps. You can create pre-defined milestones, for instance, so that every project includes Alpha, Beta, and GA milestones (e.g. this makes it easy to filter for all projects actively in beta), and also create standard issues for the project. Issues created in a project template can be assigned to different teams and milestones as well. This feature is particularly useful for workflows that require a standard set of tasks.

To create or edit a project template, go to the Templates section in your team or workspace settings. When you initiate a new project, you'll have the option to apply one of these templates from the project creation modal, in the same way you do for issue templates.
